To stay on top of your game and improvement we highly recommend that you attend these weekly training programs.
We feel at the Bathurst Junior Golf Academy that by attending one of these training programs each week or even more if you wish that we will certainly improve your game. The sessions will run for a 1 hour duration and all range balls will be included. From these coaching clinics we will have our junior golf competition each Sunday at the Bathurst Golf Club with 6 ,9 or 18 holes available. The clinics consist of all types of subjects such as some of the below:
- short game fundamentals
- long game fundamentals
- specialty shots
- recovery shots
- skills testing
- skill challenges
- fitness sessions
- flexibility sessions
- mental game
- course management
- strategy for tournaments
Weekly Schedule below:
The Development Group (Level 1)
- This is our starting level for all new golfers.
- Every Tuesday from 4-5pm at Walmer Park Driving Range cost is $15 which includes coaching, range balls and equipment if required.
- Every Saturday morning from 9.30 to 10.30am at Walmer Park Driving Range cost is $15 which includes coaching, range balls and equipment if required.
- Sundays is Golf Day for the kids to put there practice into a game of golf at Bathurst Golf Club. We play in the morning and the Level 1 group have the choice of 6 or 9 holes depending on there ability. We ask for a parent to walk around with them for supervision if they are still young and this is a great way to get them started. The cost is $11 which includes there fee for golf and a prize for playing.
The Academy Group (Level 2)
- This group is by selection only.
- Every Thursday from 4- 5.30pm.Cost is $15 each session.
- We will be alternating between the driving range and the golf club each week please check each week on the location for coaching.
- There will be on course coaching working on course management and strategy as well as some short game practising.
- Sunday is Golf Day for the Academy.9 or 18 holes will be available on the day. The cost is $11 which includes the green fee and the chance to win prizes from the golf centre.
- We will also have available junior golf tournaments to play in the area over the calender year.
